Pinacoteca di Brera, Milan

On Friday, July 10th, a conference about the restoration and conservation of works of art and design was held at the Pinacoteca di Brera, in Milan. The morning of studies, moderated by Pier Luigi Vercesi, Editor in Chief of Sette, and organized by the Cologni Foundation together with the Istituto Centrale per il Restauro e la Conservazione del Patrimonio Archivistico e Librario, was part of the cycle of conferences of MiBACT for Expo 2015: "Conservare per ricordare (Preserve to remember)." Over a hundred people attended the twelve meaningful speeches by experts and specialists that expressed the state-of-the-art of this subject, the relative training, the difficulties, the potentialities, but also the implications of the new frontiers and knowledge of the restorers in a more rational and aware design for new works of art, design and architecture.
