Preparations are under way for the next edition of Homo Faber, which will take place Sept. 1-30, 2024, in Venice, at the Giorgio Cini Foundation. On top of it, Homo Faber in Città (a project of Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship in partnership with Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte) will offer Venetian artistic craft ateliers the opportunity to open their doors to welcome visitors throughout the duration of Homo Faber. Participating workshops will become part of the Homo Faber Guide network. For 2024 the focus is even more on savoir-faire, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the extraordinary work of the Laguna's masters, discovering their rhythms, gestures, and tools. The call to participate in Homo Faber in the City is ongoing! Fondazione Cologni (which has entrusted the action to the coordination of Susanna Pozzoli) and Michelangelo Foundation are committed to promoting the participating workshops with several initiatives: the creation of a dedicated website to present the artisans, ad hoc signage for public posting at the entrances of the workshops, and a printed and widely distributed information map. The circuit of workshops open to the public and its protagonists will be highlighted and publicized at the Giorgio Cini Foundation, during Homo Faber and on all online and social platforms of Fondazione Cologni, Michelangelo Foundation and Homo Faber.
