Established in 2018, the Young Ambassador program is developed by the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship and facilitated through a partnership with the Giorgio Cini Foundation. Reserved for international creative students between the ages of 18 and 35, this cultural mediation program is now in its third edition and will take place in Venice during Homo Faber 2024, Sept. 1-30. Applications are open until 8 March at 23.59 p.m. on the website www.nextgen.homofaber.com/young-ambassadors. The role of a Young Ambassador is to share knowledge to help visitors immerse themselves in the experience on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, telling them the stories behind the exhibition spaces, excellent craftsmanship and objects on display. The duration of the program is 6 weeks on-site in Venice from 18th August to 1st October: it includes travel arrangements to the Serenissima, specific training prior to the event, lodging and meals during the stay during the days of Homo Faber Event, and a scholarship for daily expenses. Those who have participated in only one of the past editions of the program may apply, and selected candidates will be contacted by e-mail by 10 April 2024. In an atmosphere of absolute beauty, the Young Ambassadors will have the opportunity to meet designers, artisans and creatives from around the world. Over 100 Young Ambassadors in each of the past 2018 and 2022 editions of Homo Faber have populated the spaces of the Cini Foundation: now it's your turn, don't miss this opportunity!
