In 2016, the Loewe Foundation launches the Loewe Craft Prize, an annual international prize celebrating the excellence of artisans’ firms.

By acknowledging and supporting work that reinterprets traditions to make them relevant today through the master’s personal language, the Loewe Foundation aims to highlight the continuing contribution of craft to the culture of our time.

The applicants, selected by an experts panel, will take part in an exhibition and will be included in the “Loewe Craft Prize 2017” catalogue, which will be shown in Madrid and, subsequently, in other cities in Europe, Asia and in the United States.

Entries may be made by individual applicants or by collective teams, by loading photographs of the works, along with an abstract from a project, and, optionally, a video, within 7 November 2016.
