The Auditorium Parco della Musica designed by Renzo Piano hosted a special event promoted by the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and the Cologni Foundation to present the book by Renato Meucci “Strumentaio: il costruttore di strumenti musicali nella tradizione occidentale” published by Marsilio Editori.

Speakers included:
Bruno Cagli, President of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia;
Bruno Ferrante, Vice-President of the Cologni Foundation for the Métiers d’Art;
Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini, distinguished musicologist and organist, Professor Emeritus of Musicology at the University of Freiburg;
Renato Meucci, author of the book, musicologist and professor of History of Music at the Conservatorio Guido Cantelli of Novara and of History of Musical Instruments at the Università Statale in Milan


The debate was followed by a concert featuring music by Evaristo Felice dell'Abaco, Sylvius Leopold Weiss and Antonio Vivaldi performed by Ensemble Zefiro, an internationally renowned orchestra specialising in 18th- and 19th-century chamber music, which they play on original period instruments:
