From the 10th of April until the 1st of May, Homo Faber returns to Venice! This year's theme is the relationship between Italy and Japan: the exhibition aims to show how for centuries these traditions, so distant geographically, have actually been very close in terms of culture and know-how. This year it will be possible to not only visit the 15 rooms set up in the evocative Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, but also to immerse oneself in the timeless beauty of Venetian craft workshops thanks to "In città", the programme that allows visitors to observe the work of many masters up close, who for the occasion open the doors of their ateliers to tourists, experts or just the curious.
Thanks to the application, downloadable both for iOS and Android, it will be possible to create one's own bespoke tour: from the purchase of tickets for the main exhibition (an action recommended to avoid queues and because tickets sold on site will be limited), to the possibility of leafing through the digital catalogue where one can enjoy all the works on show, up to private visits. Special "packages" have been created ad hoc for different needs: from the pre-opening visit to guided group tours, to the possibility of spending half a day with the artisans. Everything there is to discover: visit the website.
You can reach Homo Faber with the free shuttle bus from San Marco-San Zaccaria, but you must already have a ticket for the event. The first departure is at 10 a.m. from San Marco and the last one from San Giorgio at 7.45 p.m.; moreover, if you reach Venice by train (Frecciarossa) you are entitled to a reduction on the entrance ticket to Homo Faber. Are you ready to immerse yourself in beauty and know-how? We are waiting for you every day (22nd April excluded) from 10 a.m. to 19 p.m.!
