In partnership with the Cologni Fondation for the Métiers d’Art and the Triennale di Milano, Vacheron Constantin supported the 21st Triennale International Exhibition in Milan titled “21st Century. Design After Design” through the “New Craft” pavilion in the Fabbrica del Vapore.
This pavilion dedicated to excellence, curated by Stefano Micelli, highlights the encounter between technological innovation and expertise. From 2 April to 31 May 2016, it hosted the “Mutations” exhibition initially commissioned by Vacheron Constantin on the occasion of the European Artistic Crafts Days 2015 in partnership with the French Institut National des Métiers d’Art and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
“Mutations” highlights nine objects inspired by – and placed in perspective with – historical pieces belonging to the permanent collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and created by collectives of artists and artisans from a wide range of horizons. This project instates a dialogue between artists and makers, while combining tradition with experimentation.
