After the great success at the GAM, the Modern Art Gallery of Milan, during the 2017 Salone del Mobile, the exhibition Doppia Firma goes to London.

From 3 to 7 May, on the occasion of the third edition of the London Craft Week, the exhibition is hosted at The Hospital Club, in the heart of Covent Garden.

Doppia Firma is presented at the London Craft Week 2017 by the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship. The exhibition brings together innovative European designers and distinguished Italian artisans to create a unique collection of fifteen original works.

Each collaboration has enabled the designers involved to acquire new expertise in techniques with which they were not familiar, including lacquer, marquetry, lustreware and commesso fiorentino (semi-precious stone inlay). The materials animating the designers’ vision and the artisans’ extraordinary skills include silver, paper, ceramics, wood, textile and glass.

The project was originally developed by the Cologni Foundation for the Métiers d’Art with Living magazine published by the Corriere della Sera, and made possible thanks to the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship.
