On Sunday 23 February 2025, the Franco Parenti Theatre in Milan hosted the extraordinary tale of the creation of glass and its makers in an event dedicated to beauty and craftsmanship. With Raphael Vogel, son of Andrée Ruth Shammah, the audience was welcomed by Jean Blanchaert, artist, gallery owner, author and curator, to present the wonderful alchemical story of glass and of its protagonists in a poetic and engaging way, alternating stories, images and readings from his latest book Musica senza suono. Maestri di Murano, published by Marsilio in collaboration with Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte.

This succesful event was strongly desired by the founder and director of the Franco Parenti Theatre in Milan, the well-known director Andrée Ruth Shammah, to pay homage to one of the greatest Italian arts, that of glass, which for centuries has found its homeland and its place of excellence on the island of Murano, its furnaces and its exceptional masters.
Acknowledged glass masters Nicola Causin of Berengo Studio (master of blown glass), Mauro Bonaventura (master of lampworked glass) and Muriel Balensi (master of pearl glass) took part in the presentation.

For the occasion, it was possible to purchase the volume directly at the Theatre.
