«ad hOCCHI APERTI» is an ambitious project, which proposes to experiment a new model of orientation and education for choice, for young people between 8 and 17 years of age, co-financed by Con i bambini, led by Il Manto scs, of the Cometa network. In partnership with Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte.

The four-year action envisages the involvement of schools, businesses, families, the third sector, institutions and those actors who participate in an educating community capable of combating discomfort, lack of planning and desire for the future in the career and life paths of pre-adolescents and adolescents, preventing school drop-out and unemployment.

Artistic craftsmanship, beauty and culture are the levers chosen to prevent discomfort and school drop-outs: a new model that from Como, the project's central hub, involves around 1,000 minors (aged between 8 and 17), 170 educators and 300 adults, as well as businesses, artisans and institutions located in various Italian regions.

A first action was carried out thanks to the coordination of Fondazione Cologni: the first class of beneficiaries visited the Museo del Gioiello and the Stamperia d'Arte Busato in Vicenza on 18 and 19 December 2024, having the opportunity to experience the workshops on goldsmithing and lithography; another class will repeat this engaging experience o February 2025.
