Great success for “Interwoven”, the first edition of the new Homo Faber Capsule exhibition series, open to the public from 22 October to 23 November in Seville, Spain, and organised by the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship. Featuring 35 objects created by artisans and ateliers from 15 countries across four continents, representing 22 crafts, the exhibition highlighted the diversity of the cultures, crafts and nations presented on the Homo Faber Guide. Four Italian artisans from the network of Fondazione Cologni were also present.

“Interwoven”, hosted at the Real Fábrica de Artillería, celebrated the interconnected nature of craftsmanship, revealing the diverse traditions, techniques, materials and human stories that are woven together to create a perfectly crafted object. Homo Faber Capsule offers a new opportunity for a curated selection of artisans from the Guide to present their work to the public. The series is organised every two years, alternating with the Homo Faber Biennial (the flagship celebration of international craftsmanship, held in Venice and confirmed for September 2026), with each edition taking place in a different world city and highlighting a theme inspired by the host location (in this case, “Interwoven” in Seville).
Representing Italy were: Giovanni Corvaja, master goldsmith from Todi; the historic Milanese atelier Ganci Argenterie; master woodworker Andrea Zambelli, based in Milan; and Martha Pachon Rodriguez, heir and innovator of the Faenza ceramic tradition, awarded the title of MAM – Maestro d’Arte e Mestiere.
