Gabriella Sacchi, talented architect and ceramicist, receiver of the MAM-Maestro d'Arte e Mestiere (Master of Arts and Crafts) title, carried out formal and conceptual research for decades at her workshop-gallery Spazio Nibe in Milan, combining art, craftsmanship and design. The ‘Gabriella Sacchi scholarship’, created this year in her loving memory, supports two apprenticeships within the project “Una Scuola, un Lavoro. Percorsi di Eccellenza” of Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte, which has been promoting the training of young talents in the field of artistic craftsmanship for almost 15 years.

In particular, for the 2024/25 edition of the initiative, Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte is supporting five internships in the field of ceramics in several Italian regions. The two apprenticeships supported by Gabriella Sacchi scholarship, thanks to her husband Mauro, are the one at the ceramic restorer Simona Serra, in Faenza, and at the workshop of Manifatture Sottosasso, in Brisighella (Ravenna). This concrete action pays homage to Gabriella through what she always loved to do: to transmit her art to young people.
