The fourth edition of "YouNique – Craft & Design", dedicated to fine craftsmanship, art and design, will take place on 25th and 26th March in Lugano (Switzerland), in the splendid Villa Ciani, and will see craftspeople and their works as protagonists of the event.
Like every year, under the artistic direction of Andrea Peri and Sonia Gaffuri (Target Management), the kermesse offers a selection of the highest level, embracing all sectors of artistic craftsmanship: from textiles to jewellery, from woodworking to mosaics, from leather goods to precious metals... and much more. In the exhibition, it will also be possible to admire the craftsmen at work: a unique opportunity to meet great masters and budding talents! YouNique, under the aegis of Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte and Michelangelo Foundation, is a Wellmade Circuit: among the exhibitors there will therefore be a selection of craftspeople registered on the digital platform, some of whom have also been awarded the MAM-Maestro d'Arte e Mestiere title. Among them: the master of fine leathers Giorgio Santamaria, Mobili Storti with furnishings between surrealism and baroque, the Florentine Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio, the clothing brand Lifeobject Design Made in Florence, the historic silverware maker Foglia Firenze 1935, the Milanese cabinet-maker Stefano Raffa, the Florentine Ursula Corsi Mosaici, and the master waxmaker Davide Furno. The event is aimed at all those who seek the uniqueness of the artefact and the exclusivity of art in all its forms: two days to know, purchase, but above all to meet and observe the master artisans and designers as they give life to their creations, to understand what it means to be a master of art who preserves history and traditions, but who lives in the present and dialogues with contemporaneity and innovation.
