"Discovering Italian savoir-faire and artistic craftsmanship" is the title of the itinerary that Wellmade has developed to discover the artisanal ateliers in the centre of Bergamo, scheduled for Saturday 28th of January from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. An initiative which is part of the programme "La città in festa", the inaugural days of Bergamo Brescia Italian Capitals of Culture 2023, coordinated by the Department of Culture with the organisational support of the Tascabile Theatre and realised thanks to the sponsorship of the Bergamo Brescia 2023 Committee.

Wellmade, Fondazione Cologni's digital platform, has selected ateliers ranging from goldsmithing to ceramics, from violin-making to mosaics, from tailoring to metal restoration and cabinet-making: an opportunity for discover the city with different eyes. The visit is free and the participating ateliers include Officina Orafa di Brunella Sola (via Santa Caterina 23/A), Ca' Alta Camiceria su misura (via Pignolo 42), Claylab Luca Pedone (vicolo Anghinelli Luigi 14), Liuteria di Silvia Zanchi (via Martinella 25) and Amore&Colore (via Luigi Tadini). We also recommend extending the visit to the immediate vicinity of Bergamo, to discover Santhomè (artistic stained glass, via Arturo Toscanini 3, Stezzano), Vasko Sotirov's cabinet-making workshop (Via Alpini 100, Urgnano), the Bice&Berta knitwear factory (Via Santa Margherita 19, Torre Boldone), Elena Plebani’s ceramic workshop (Via San Francesco 64, Cividino di Castelli Calepio) and the Colasante artistic carpentry atelier (Via Lera 7, Val Brembilla). The initiative is open to everyone who is interested in meeting the master artisans, admire their products and learn the secrets of their work.
