The “Amici del Museo Poldi Pezzoli” Association of Milan awarded, as every year, those artisans and associations that express and defend, through their activities, the Milanese cultural identity and heritage, with the award “Dama d'Argento”.
The award encompasses two categories: “Arts and crafts”, for the artisans who have a traditional work in danger of extinction, and “Art and culture”, dedicated to associations distinguished for their work in the field of art and culture.
In the premises of Buzzati-Fondazione Corriere della Sera room, on May 30th, the jury that included as well Franco Cologni, (Chairman of the Cologni Foundation for the Métiers d'Art), declared Pietro Vergani, master of the encaustic art, and the Association Città Nascosta Milano winners of the Dama d'Argento Award 2012.
