On Thursday 15th June, the “Sommet du Luxe et de la Création”, organized by the Centre du Luxe et de la Création, was held in Paris at the Hotel InterContinental Paris Le Grand. The theme of the event stemmed from the reflection “What are the reference points and values that shape the soul of luxury today?”. Among the speakers, Alberto Cavalli, general director of Fondazione Cologni and executive director of Michelangelo Foundation, held a keynote speech dedicated to “Talent and Beauty”. In the afternoon, presented by French journalist Patrice Bouillot, the "Les Talents du luxe et de la création" 2023 awards ceremony took place, honoring luxury designers, managers, ateliers and companies for the excellence of their extraordinary know-how. Examples of high craftsmanship, the three winning nominations proposed by Fondazione Cologni are: Mauro Lorenzi, CEO of Lorenzi Milano, a legendary name in everyday objects made of precious materials such as wood, leather, and horn, who received the Prix Métiers d'Art; Massimiliano Alajmo, a ‘star’ chef now based at Le Calandre in Padua, a creative center as well as a culinary laboratory that oversees and manages the kitchens of the Group's establishments. He was awarded the prize in the “Talent de l'innovation” category; Lucio Bubacco, an incomparable glassmaker of Murano with his virtuosities in lampwork glass, who received the prestigious Talent d'Or. Fondazione Cologni is a partner of the Centre du Luxe et de la Création.
