A press conference was held on Thursday, May 23, at the Centro Svizzero, headquarters of the Consulate of Switzerland in Milan, which is patronizing the event, for “Homo Faber. The Journey of Life”, whose third edition will be organised at the Giorgio Cini Foundation in Venice, from September 1 to 30, 2024. Artistic directors Luca Guadagnino and Nicolò Rosmarini have imagined an immersive scenography to present “The Journey of Life,” the theme chosen by Hanneli Rupert as the leitmotif of this edition.

Numerous journalists came to hear the news for 2024 extensively recounted and motivated by Alberto Cavalli, who emphasized why the Cini Foundation was chosen, which «is not just a place, it is an alchemical forge where every day the liturgies of culture, research, and art are celebrated. Where young resources are formed, where cultural institutes nurture contemporary languages that are always structured in a culturally profound way». Consul General Stefano Lazzarotto opened the conference with institutional greetings, renewing the closeness and collaboration of the Consulate of Switzerland in Milan with the activities of the Michelangelo Foundation and the Fondazione Cologni, united in the same purpose of enhancing artisan talent. The occasion was also precious to anticipate to the press that, precisely during the kermesse on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, there will be a day dedicated to the award ceremony of the MAM-Maestri d'Arte e Mestiere 2024, the biennial recognition established by Fondazione Cologni, in collaboration with ALMA-The International School of Italian Cuisine, in 2016.

We look forward to seeing you in Venice!
