At Palazzo Colonna, in the heart of Rome, the ceremony for the investiture of the 2023 Honorary Members of Fondazione Altagamma took place on Monday 15th May. This recognition, inaugurated in 2002 by Leonardo Ferragamo, welcomes into the prestigious Altagamma ecosystem women and men, companies and national and international institutions that have contributed to promoting Italian excellence and culture in the world. During the Altagamma Day “The 75 Years of the Senate and the Made in Italy of Excellence”, the Cologni Foundation for the Metiérs d’Art was named Honorary Member of Altagamma.

Stefania Lazzaroni, general director of the Altagamma Foundation, presented our work with these motivations: «For about 30 years, the Cologni Foundation with its numerous activities and initiatives has been promoting Italian high craftsmanship, concretely supporting the entry of young talents into the world of crafts; and with the “MAM-Master of Arts and Crafts” award – of which Altagamma is a partner – identifies and enhances the best master artisans in Italy. “Homo Faber”, “Doppia Firma”, and the “Mestieri d'Arte” and “Ricerche” editorial series are just some of the projects that present Italy's excellence. The Founder is a visionary, generous, motivating and extremely refined man: we are talking about Mr. Franco Cologni'.
Collecting the icosahedron, symbol of Fondazione Altagamma, was Alberto Cavalli, general director of the Cologni Foundation. Our foundation would like to thank Altagamma in the persons of its president Matteo Lunelli and general director Stefania Lazzaroni for this honour, which gratifies us so much.
