ArtiJanus/ArtiJanas is the experimental cultural project that was born as a result of an agreement between Fondazione di Sardegna and Fondazione Triennale Milano, in collaboration with Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte. "Genius loci", the theme of this edition, invites the designers and Sardinian artisans involved to recognize and interpret the spirit of places, producing new meanings, social and community ties.

In particular, the ArtiJanus/ArtiJanas craft/design section, which is developed through a programme of designer-in-residence (February – April 2023), renews the confrontation and productive exchange between the local textile and ceramic sectors and contemporary design. Two ateliers have been selected. Artessile by Elena Mulas from Urzulei, an acknowledged expert in the production of carpets, tapestries and other home textiles, will host Gianni Cinti, a designer from Umbria specialising in furniture, tableware and design objects. And Ceramiche Walter Usai of Assemini, a historic company in the manufacture of terracotta pottery, that welcomes Sonia Pedrazzini, an eclectic designer who stands out for her experimental and research projects, on the borderline between art, design and communication. The two pairs of creatives will produce a number of objects or small collections around the theme of "Playful", the leitmotif of the seventh edition of Doppia Firma (Double Signature), an event that the Fondazione Cologni is organising together with the Michelangelo Foundation and Living Corriere della Sera on the occasion of the Fuori Salone 2023 in Milan.
