A special birthday for the Florentine kermesse ‘Artigianato e Palazzo. Artisan workshops and their commissions’ which, on the occasion of its 30th anniversary, opens the gates of the Giardino Corsini in Florence from 13 to 15 September 2024. 100 new witnesses of the highest Italian and European craftsmanship tradition will suggest market trends to visitors and concrete opportunities for new business possibilities to exhibitors. With the support of Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte and Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship. An important convention for the occasion: free entrance to the inauguration on Friday 13th September in Florence for ‘Homo Faber’ ticket holders and reduced entrance to the Giorgio Cini Foundation for ‘Artigianato e Palazzo’ title holders.
‘Artigianato e Palazzo’ is organised and promoted by the Giardino Corsini Cultural Association, chaired by Sabina Corsini in collaboration with Neri Torrigiani. For this exclusive birthday, the organisers have set up an important convention with ‘Homo Faber: The Journey of Life’: free entrance to the inauguration on Friday 13th September in Florence (from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm) for ‘Homo Faber’ ticket holders and reduced entrance to the Giorgio Cini Foundation in Venice for ‘Artigianato e Palazzo’ ticket holders. A synergy in favour of the promotion of quality craftsmanship.
On the day of the inauguration of ‘Artigianato e Palazzo’, the awards ceremony of the 3rd edition of the biennial prize ‘La Grande Bellezza - The Dream Factory’ by Starhotels, in collaboration with Fondazione Cologni, Associazione OMA-Osservatorio dei Mestieri d'Arte and Gruppo Editoriale, will take place in the Loggia del Buontalenti of Palazzo Corsini. The winning work, among the 10 finalists in the exhibition, will receive a cash prize of € 10,000. This third edition invited Italian craftsmen to submit art objects related to the theme ‘Souvenirs of the Grand Tour’, which aroused great interest among craftsmen with over 150 entries.
