The idea for “Blog & Nuvole” was developed by Lucia Saetta and Cristina Vannini Parenti with the collaboration of the Milan Triennale and the Cologni Foundation for the Métiers d’Art, with the support of Confartigianato Imprese.
Blogs have become a genre in their own right. The virtual network allows writers of all kinds to express themselves freely. Some of these authors live a second life in their blogs: journalists, scientists, writers, but also people writing about their daily lives. And these blogs have become a reference point for a new kind of reader looking for writings that are free from constraints and prejudices. In this new scenario, graphic storytelling has developed from popular entertainment to fully-fledged literary category.
Cristina Vannini and Lucia Saetta have worked for three years to create the conditions for the crossing of two worlds: blog writers and cartoonists. "Blog & Nuvole" collects works by emerging talents, well-known blog writers and brilliant cartoonists.
