Naba, the New Academy of Fine Arts, Milan

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Naba, the New Academy of Fine Arts established in Milan in 1980, the project "Learning machines. Art Education and Alternative Production of Knowledge", curated by Marco Sotini in co-operation with Alessandro Guerriero, has been organized. The project, encompassing a symposium (Learning Machines. Discorsi, that took place on December 10th and 11th), an exhibition (Learning Machines. Figure), a Temporay Library – Reading Room (Learning Machines. Biblioteca) and a volume (The manual.
An Academy in 100 words) is structured around the relationship between art education and knowledge acquisition processes, from institutional processes to alternative practices of cultural production.
