Within the compelling frame of Vicenza’s Basilica Palladiana, jewels from 77 national and international artists, craftsmen and designers are the protagonists of a research on the theme of the surface of jewels, especially brooches.
Surface as the result of technical and material experimentation, of a digital as well as artisan savoir-faire, in line with the latest production technologies such as 3D print. The surface of a jewel, then, either conceals or reveals the object’s double-sided face, which helps us discover its different meanings, or becomes the genuine conceptual inspiration for the jewel.
