From March 27th - 29th 2015
On the occasion of the international appointment of the European Artistic Crafts Days (March 27-29, 2015) the Cologni Foundation for the Métiers d'Art, from March 27th through 30th, in collaboration with Milanese partners and with the support of Vacheron Constantin, proposes a series of cultural appointments dedicated to arts & crafts and to the applied arts.
The international appointment, under the aegis of the Institut National des Métiers d'Art of Paris in network with Milan, Florence, Geneva, and other European cities, is focused this year on the “territories of innovation”.
The Cologni Foundation declines the theme through these actions:
- From Friday 27 through Monday 30 March: exhibition “Intrecci”, in the Grand Salon of the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum of Milan, in collaboration with Segno Italiano.
The exhibition enhances one of the most ancient and noble craft traditions present in various Italian regions.
- Weekend March 28-29: it will be possible to visit the Milanese artisanal workshops and the ateliers in the historic Milanese area called “Cinque Vie”, between Corso Magenta, Via Santa Marta and the Darsena. The initiative is in collaboration with 5VIE art+design association.
- Saturday 28 March: lesson on métiers d'art and the Milanese applied arts at the historical SIAM, Società d'Incoraggiamento d'Arti e Mestieri, curated by Scuola CorsiArte, and in collaboration with 5VIE art+design association.
- Saturday 28 March: sacred music concert at the Basilica of San Calimero in Milan by the Ensemble Vocale Harmonia Cordis.
All the initiatives are open to the public with free admission.
