When thinking of Gianfranco Ferré, his weightless, soft and awesome dresses, where architecture and design blend together creating spectacular pieces, immediately come to mind.
The exhibition, organized by Fondazione Gianfranco Ferré and Fondazione Torino Musei, curated by Francesca Alfano Miglietti, shows for the first time a specific aspect of Ferré’s creativity and design: the jewel as inspiration, as a decoration in perfect harmony with the dress.
The magnificent context of Palazzo Madama becomes the frame where these unique and bright jewels are showcased.
Until 19th February 2018, classic and contemporary, precious stones and metals, tradition and experimentation live next to each other in an ideal dialogue between dreams and reality.
“… often the jewel completes the dress and becomes an accessory, sometimes it is necessary, it is an impressive detail. Other times, it is the material that creates the dress, becoming essence and soul.” (G.Ferré)
