9th-14th April 2013La Triennale of Milan
During the Salone del Mobile, the Triennale of Milan pays homage, with an exhibition and a movie, to a great master of wood: Pierluigi Ghianda. In his atelier thought and manual skills have always been closely linked. Hence the title of the exhibition: “Fare è pensare (Doing is thinking)”.
On display there are works realized for famous brands, for museums such as the Musée d'Orsay and the Moma and for designers like Gae Aulenti, Mario Bellini, Cini Boeri, Gianfranco and Emanuela Frattini, Giuseppe Raboni and Marco Zanuso jr., Pino Tovaglia and Albert Barokas.
On April 13th, “The man who signs the wood” has been shown: a documentary dedicated to Ghianda and made by Patrizio Saccò and Studiolabo.
The round table “Fare artigianale, pensare industriale (Making crafts, thinking industrial)” moderated by Aldo Colonetti has followed.
