Agust 1st-September 1st
Casa Vestita, Ceramic District of Grottaglie

More than one hundred handmade products made of red clay will be on display from August 1st through September 1st at Casa Vestita, in the historical ceramic district of Grottaglie.
The cooking ware preserves the archaic appeal of the home and of the matter. The exhibition spans between many clay products: quartaredde, tiedde and tieste of different sizes, used in the past as pots of the typical Puglia's kitchen, ciùcculatere and cùcume used for decoctions and for coffee, fràceri used to heat the home in winter time and the historical pignata, the queen of the pugliese pots used for cooking dried legumes and the classical broad beans. This year the exhibition will also be displayed inside ancient cisterns and in a rupestrian church, with its wonderful frescos dated between XII and XIV century.

On the occasion, it will be possible to partecipate at the gastonomical collateral events: unmissable the appointment with Vino è Musica (Wine is Music), in collaboration with local and national partners, that will take place the 3td and the 4th of August in Grottaglie.
