From February 2014 to April 2015
Triennale, Milan

The Thirties, the Seventies and the Noughties: the seventh edition of the Design Museum focuses its attention on the issue of self-production declined and approached differently in these three crucial historical periods.
The idea behind the project is that the years of economic crisis are particularly favorable to the stimulus of design creativity.
The route proceeds backwards: from the new makers with experimental forms of self-production and production through the manufacturing districts to investigate the origins of Italian design in the Thirties, years in which our great designers have created their specimen works.
Among them, Giuseppe Pagano and Gino Levi Montalcini, Luigi Vietti and Gio Ponti, Gabriele Mucchi, Franco Albini, Fortunato Depero.
