Constance Schürch, goldsmith and founder of the eponymous artisan business in Florence, is the winner of the contest “Artigiano del Cuore” 2024! After being selected as a finalist along with 9 other master artisans, it was the community, through online voting, that chose her as “Artigiano del Cuore”. Thanks to the great support of the public and more than 600 votes collected in fact, Constance won the Contest, and will thus be able to receive the prize up for grabs: she will follow a personalised training and consulting course on digital communication, funded by Fondazione Cologni and held by Museum Strategy.

In this way, the Contest aims to be an initiative to support the digitisation of artisan businesses, encouraging their digital transition and helping them promote themselves online. Through this path, Constance will be able to raise awareness of her craft as a goldsmith and the Italian fine jewelry techniques she employs every day, and present her work to a wider audience. As part of the prize, she will also be able to exhibit for free at the “Fatti ad Arte” event to be held in Biella on October 4, 5 and 6, 2024.
Who is Constance Schürch?
After an upbringing in southern Chile surrounded by nature, Constance Schürch studied design and worked in the industry for a few years. But office work is not for her, and she soon realises that her true calling is to create jewelry with her hands. In 2015 she won a scholarship and left for Florence with the intention of learning the techniques of Italian goldsmithing: she trained alongside master Florentine goldsmiths, from whom she learned the secrets of the trade. Today she has her own brand of unique, custom jewelry, which she creates exclusively on a bespoke basis.

“Involving my clients in the creative process, including through photos and videos, is my driving force. In an increasingly automated world, I want to bring back to the center the importance of human relationships and enhance Italian high craftsmanship. I would like to more effectively convey the way I work, enhancing the customer experience, which I put first.” The shadowing process will begin in September and will allow Constance to improve the digital communication of her work.
