At the Teatro Regio in Parma on Monday 11 November, the 23 new MAM-Masters of Art and Crafts of the Arts of Agriculture, Taste and Hospitality were proclaimed, in an event organised by ALMA-La Scuola Internazionale di Cucina Italiana to coincide with the 20th anniversary of its foundation. The award ceremony concludes the celebrations of craftsmanship that began in Venice on 29 September with the Masters of Artistic Craftsmanship (40 new names) organised by Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte.

The event at the Teatro Regio in Parma, presented by Gerry Scotti, awarded the MAMs linked to Italian food and wine and hospitality: an exciting ceremony in the heart of the Food Valley, where the International School of Italian Cuisine, opened in 2004 in Colorno, also celebrated 20 years of activity, from which more than 14,000 students have graduated. The Masters decreed by the ALMA Commission were divided into three areas: production, processing and catering. This 5th edition saw an increase in the number of award categories, now 23, with the introduction of the Agricultural Arts.

The ceremony was attended by Alberto Cavalli, General Director of Fondazione Cologni, with a greeting centred on the happiness of doing: ‘doing well to be well’, an important lesson that the virtuous creators of Made in Italy pass on, carrying high the banner of value, between passion, study and talent.
