The 2020 edition of Homo Faber has been announced and the partnership between Fondazione Cologni and the Michelangelo Foundation has been renewed. From 10th September to 11th October, in the prestigious and fascinating setting of the Fondazione Giorgio Cini, on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, it will be possible to visit the biennial exhibition of the trades of fine craftsmanship, which this year is dedicated to treasures from Europe and Japan.
17 rooms form the route of an ideal journey from Europe to Japan, linked by the leitmotiv of fine craftsmanship and artistic trades crossing centuries of history, culture and tradition. The space dedicated to Doppia Firma, the now consolidated project that Fondazione Cologni, with Living and Michelangelo Foundation presents during the Milano Design Week, now in its fifth edition this year, is again present as part of Homo Faber. An important new element of Homo Faber 2020 is a room curated by Fondazione Cologni, with the section entitled "Italia e Giappone: le relazioni meraviogliose” (“Italy and Japan: the marvellous liaisons") featuring a selection of masterpieces by Italian master craftsmen inspired by the Japanese tradition.
