Apprenticeship programme: “A shool, a job. Training to excellence”

In 2011/12, the Cologni Foundation financed the apprenticeships of three young violin-makers from the Civica Scuola di Liuteria (the Municipal Violin-Making School) in Milano. A special commission selected the candidates. Thanks to the Cologni Foundation’s support, the three young violin-makers received a six-month training in the workshops of three great masters. In this way, they took their first steps in a craft that demands sacrifice, competence and, above all, passion and enthusiasm.
