On Monday March 15th at 9.00 pm, the opera “Savitri” by Gustav Holst (1874 – 1934) will be performed at the Dal Verme Theatre in Milan (Via San Giovanni sul Muro, 2).
Rarely presented on stage, the opera is based on an episode from the Mahabharata.

Realized in the context of the “Previsioni Musica” contest, organized by the International Academy of Music – Civic Schools of Milan Foundation, with the artistic co-ordination of M° Luca Vonella, the show will involve young Milanese artists and artisans.

Thanks to the co-operation with the class of Lighting Design of the Teatro alla Scala Academy of Arts and Crafts, in fact, a selection of post-graduate students will take part in the production, taking care of the scenic light design. The digital scenario will be realized by Gabriele Agresta and Lucia Cerini, who have created an electronic sequence based on the paintings by the young Milanese painter Gianrico Agresta.

The musical performance is by Ensemble Hornpipe, directed by M° Giovanni Marziliano.
