19 February 2018. On the grounds of Villa Necchi Campiglio, a splendid museum-house in the heart of Milan owned by Fondo Ambiente Italiano, lies a covered tennis court that served at the setting for the presentation of the book Il vignaiolo universale – La cultura nel bicchiere written by Pierluigi Gorgoni and Andrea Grignaffini, illustrated by Paolo Rui and published by Marsilio under the aegis of the Cologni Foundation.
The event was made possible thanks to the special contribution of the Alma school of Italian cuisine, and made all the merrier by a tasting of wines from all over Italy, expertly selected by the beverage distributors Partesa and accompanied by excellent Italian cured meats chosen by Gurus and supplied by Ibis and Mecpalmieri.
The event was moderated by the Director of the Cologni Foundation, Alberto Cavalli, and attended by the Foundation's President, Franco Cologni. Guests included the two food and wine experts who authored the book, Pierluigi Gorgoni and Andrea Grignaffini; the book's illustrator Paolo Rui; the wood and wine expert Leila Salimbeni; and the managing director of the Alma cooking school, Andrea Sinigaglia.
