“Le mani intelligenti: i mestieri d’arte” is a cycle of conferences organised by the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum in Milan in collaboration with the Cologni Foundation to celebrate the extraordinary skills of the craftspeople who have transformed their manual dexterity into art.

The initiative is part of the programme “I giovedì del Museo Bagatti Valsecchi”, supported by Fondazione Cariplo and the Region of Lombardy. The conferences were held in the evening, when the Museum itself was exceptionally open for guided visits.

Alba Cappellieri, Professor at Milan Polytechnic and Director of the Jewellery Museum in Vicenza

Lorenzo Rossi, violin maker

Virginia Villa, Director of the Violin Museum in Cremona
