The programme “A School, a Job. Training to Excellence" has reached its sixth year, awarding 35 new apprenticeships in the best artisanal workshops. For 2017/2018, a new and experimental programme addressed to students coming from selected Art Schools in Lombardy is co-financed by the Cologni Foundation and the Cariplo Foundation: on top of the 35 apprenticeships, 11 young artisans are given the opportunity to attend a one-month “Mini-Master” training class before starting their regular apprenticeships in an artisan’s workshop.

The Cologni Foundation’s aim is to offer the students a complete training programme, providing them with specific skills about planning, management, communication and applied arts. Three remarkable universities and a specialised school have given their support to the project: Milan Polytechnic, SDA Bocconi School of Management, Libera Università di Lingue e Comunicazione IULM and Scuola Corsi Arte. All the apprentices are photographed and their stories featured on the website dedicated to the project.
