On 10 and 17 November the students of two milanese Junior High Schools attended educational laboratories dedicated to restoration, at the GAM Museum in Milan. The project had been curated by the educational office of GAM and realized thanks to the Cologni Foundation. The activity’s aim was to promote students’ interest for craftsmanship, focusing on paintings restoring and ceramic assembling. The two laboratories had been programmed by Laura Menegotto and Pia Virgilio, restorers with aknowledged experience in the conservation of cultural heritage. During the two sessions of the laboratories, the students tested their practical, manual and observational skills, through the assembling of wooden plates reproducing Renaissance motifs and completing the missing parts of some reproductions of contemporary paintings.
