The Pandora Artiste Ceramiste Association invites you to take part in the travelling exhibition "Chawan, le stagioni del tè", (Chawan, the Seasons of Tea), involving 150 Italian and foreign artists.

Underlying this project is a meeting with the tea ceremony or chanoyu, an ever captivating rite in the collective imagination, attractive for the richness of meanings involved in that special moment in a Japanese day. The choice of this theme leads to a closer approach to the culture of the Raising Sun and its sensibility about changing seasons. Educating this sensibility leads to appreciation and gratitude toward the live Nature that surrounds us and is part of ourselves.

The artists will engage in creating a tea-cup for ceremonial use, declining it according to their own styles, and in keeping with the artisanal meaning of the product.

The selected works will be showcased in an exhibition travelling to the cities of Naples, Rome and Cava dei Tirreni, while the winning artist will be awarded a visit to Japan.
