November 18th 2010 – March 7th 2011

Museo Ferragamo, Palazzo Spini Feroni, Florence

Until March 7th, it will be possible to visit the exhibition "A regola d'arte" that since last November presents the story of the maison Ferragamo, a story of craftsmanship, professionalism and private life, in direct contact with the city of Florence.
The curators of the exhibition, Tommaso Fanfani, Sofia Ciucchi and Stefania Ricci, have been inspired by the position of the sociologist Richard Sennett expressed in his book L'uomo artigiano (The Craftsman), which emphasizes the need to give back value to the work of artisan and the idea of a craftsman: innovative, satisfied by what he does. Salvatore Ferragamo founded the success of his shoes on manual skill, quality and attention to details, innovation and creativity.
The high-tech exhibition proposes the holograms of the sandal of Judy Garland and Marilyn Monroe's decolleté, leads the visitors with the music of Stefano Bollani, a video and historic images of the maison.
