Horne Museum, Palazzo Corsi, Florence

The Horne Museum, in collaboration with OMA, Observatory of Arts and Crafts, organizes the initiative Artisans in the family, dedicated to families with children between 8 and 13 years.
The project, free attendance, consists in two courses: in November "The shapes of wood", three meetings to study the characteristics of pieces of furniture of the museum and, after a visit to the laboratory of the wood-carver Renato Olivastri, to engage in the making of a wooden inlay.
In December, the appointments of the course "Weaving of threads" will permit participants to test the art of the handloom, after visiting the Foundation Lisio Art of the Silk.

The shapes of wood: November 6th, 13th and 20th
Weaving of threads: December 4th, 11th and 18th
